Shiseido has a centuries-old heritage as a leader in luxury Japanese beauty and skincare. But with a growing portfolio of products, they wanted to establish a brand tone of voice that would preserve their authority in the beauty space while also appealing to modern consumers. Tasked with using their “Beauty vs. the World” national campaign as a North Star, I helped develop and implement omnichannel digital strategies, create content to augment fan engagement and consumer advocacy online, and led campaign and content ideation across digital, social and experiential. During my first year on the brand, Shiseido saw a 273% increase in Instagram followers and significant growth across other social platforms with the most fan interactions compared to its top competitors.
